1. Who these terms are with
This website and platform are operated by Africa Procurement Group South Africa (Pty) Ltd as promoter of the Eastern Cape Development League, in partnership with the Great Africa Supporters Union and the Eastern Cape Football Association, under the sanction of SAFA. By using this site you accept these terms.
2. Accounts
- Accounts for players are held by a parent or legal guardian. Children do not hold their own accounts.
- Where an account is created for you, you must change the temporary password the first time you sign in, and keep your credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access to it.
- Team managers and coaches who enter player information must ensure it is accurate and that they are authorised to provide it.
3. Registration and participation
Registering a team or player does not by itself guarantee a place. Places are subject to available capacity in the relevant district and division, to eligibility, and to completion of safeguarding requirements. The League may decline or withdraw a registration where eligibility, conduct or safeguarding requirements are not met.
4. Acceptable use
You may not:
- attempt to access information belonging to another team, family, sponsor or user;
- probe, scan or test the security of the platform, or interfere with its operation;
- scrape, harvest or republish player information, or use it to contact families outside the League's processes;
- upload anything unlawful, abusive, or harmful to a child;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your authority to act for a club.
Abuse directed at a child, a match official or another participant results in removal from the League and, where appropriate, referral to the authorities.
5. Content you submit
You keep ownership of content you submit. By submitting it you grant the League a licence to use it for operating and promoting the league. You must not submit content you do not have the right to share, and you must not submit an image of a child without that child's parent having consented.
6. Fixtures and results
Published fixtures may change. The League will give as much notice as circumstances allow, but matches may be postponed or relocated for weather, venue availability, safety or safeguarding reasons. Results are official once confirmed by the League.
7. Availability
We work to keep the platform available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend access for maintenance or security.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Subject to that, the League is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website. Participation in football carries inherent physical risk, which is addressed in the participation consent given at registration, not by these website terms.
9. Privacy
How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy policy, and how we protect children is set out in our child safeguarding policy. Both form part of these terms.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The version and date at the top of this page tell you which version applies, and we will notify registered users of significant changes.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
